The data is gathered using a simple query on SCOPUS followed by some elementary cleaning.
Only top tier conferences in ML or related fields are analysed.
A loose definition of the word Contribution is used throughout the analyses. A contribution is simply the count of papers with atleast one of the authors affiliated with the respective country. Affiliation is based on the country specified in the authors affiliation data in SCOPUS.
